Air Permeability or Air Tightness Testing

Air tightness or pressure testing is a skilled method of determining uncontrolled airflow, air leakage and unwanted drafts at a property which may result in heat loss. As such, a property would not be deemed environmentally friendly and could prove expensive to run.

Acoustic Sound Insulating Testing

To be compliant with Part E of the Building Regulations, Sound Insulation Testing must be carried out at all residential or commercial new build properties pre-completion to ensure the development demonstrates acceptable levels of sound insulation.

SAP Calculations

SAP Calculations are a key component of any new build project to establish carbon emissions and subsequent energy costs of the property. These emissions are linked to ventilation, light, heat and hot water and need to be considered at the very beginning of a build, ideally at the design stage.

Ventilation Testing

Part F Ventilation testing is required to ensure that the ventilation performs as intended by means of mechanical extraction in the bathroom, Kitchen, Utility & WC, meeting a minimum flow rate.

BTS03 / HBN04 Isolation Suite Testing

BTS 03 / HBN 04 are the testing standards for Healthcare facilities such as isolation suites. These isolation facilities are designed and developed for a healthcare setting to reduce the risk of microbiological contamination by isolating infectious patients.  For healthcare agencies to comply with this standard the room needs to demonstrate minimal air leakage.

Thermal Imaging

Thermal imaging is the only way of fully visualising the thermal performance of a building. It visualises heat which is unseen by the human eye. It benefits from being non-contact so does not disturb the building fabric, it’s fast to survey large areas, and can provide instant results so discussions can be had on site. Each image produced is made up of more than 600,000 temperature measurements allowing it to compare large areas and identify even the smallest difference in temperature to highlight possible defects.
